Are you dumb or pretending to be? This is NOT just a sports anime! Its made to be battle-football where the characters battle each other THROUGH football! The football part is just the theme and nothing else, a means to an end! And this anime was also meant to be a prediction as well as a wake up call to the mediocre football being played today! Messi and Ronaldo are at the end of their careers and this anime serves as a slap in the face for retarded patrons who buy players just for looking strong, like most black shit players who look built but have the dribbling skills and the brain of drunken monkeys! Look at Japan's awakening in the World Cup - almost all of them had average builds, but their spirit, running and determination, and dribbling skills created counter attacks similar to what Isagi and Rin made during this entire anime! It is not enough anymore to be strong in this sport, you have to have A BRAIN to mentally outmatch your opponent in-game! The dramatism is also good and it makes a football match interesting when a reversal happens! The so called "new stars" like Halland or Mbappe are all above average, but a far cry from what Messi and Ronaldo used to be in their primes! David Beckam was considered the absolute BEST of his time! Maradona as well! The new generation today satisfies itself too much with being above average and don't over practice now to get to those higher heights like Bachira just now! Most of them are fame seekers that treat it as a full time job, finish training and then go out with girls at the end of the day! You are supposed to dedicate your SOUL to football to become like these legends did! THINK!

In the manga, Isagi says "I believed in you bachira, I believed you'll come here all by yourself". It was to show he wasn't alone and he still wants him,. I don't know why they made it a gatcha moment in the anime

The consistency isn’t surprising. If you’re a good player, you’ll consistently be a good player, that’s how one scores 30 plus goals in a season - it’s not chance, it’s good players being good. Sergio Aguero is a prime example, Messi, Ronaldo, Henry - you name em, there are plenty of players who showed consistency. i'd say bluelock is exagerrated but only to spice up the narrative, specifically in this episode, the part where bachira did a barell roll which is a visual exgerration and the way some of the moves/playstyles are represented which is common in this anime, and the fact that they're highschoolers in an unrealistic sci-fi environment. In conclusion its obviously a mix. But hey l still fuvkin love this anime
